Dublin Psychology Centre is headed by Dr. Michael Coughlin, Senior Clinical Psychologist. Michael achieved his BA in Psychology at Trinity College Dublin before completing his Masters in Psychological Science at National University of Ireland, Galway. Michael obtained his Doctorate Qualification at the University of Glasgow. He worked for 8 years in the NHS in Scotland in a variety of child and adult services before returning to work in the private sector in Ireland.
Michael is committed to person centered care and to providing high quality evidence-based clinical practice. He is passionate about the importance of the early identification and intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder. Michael has extensive experience and expertise in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders and ADHD and in providing child and family therapeutic interventions. He has a particular interest in providing psychological therapy for associated mental health difficulties (e.g. anxiety and depression) in children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. Drawing on his experience working with adults and children with autism in the NHS, Michael has now put together a team of highly skilled professionals with a passion for supporting children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and their families.
